With plenty happening at Ribble HQ, there’s certainly no time to slow down. This month marks the start of one of our most ambitious projects to date—a fully integrated twin-tank LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) solution designed to set a new benchmark in safe and efficient alloy wheel stripping.
The core of this installation consists of two separate four-wheel alloy stripping tanks, each supported by a dedicated, fully compliant LEV system.
Our LEV engineers designed the entire setup in line with all current HSE guidelines for the extraction of DCM fumes and vapours, ensuring the customer receives a system that is both safe and future-proof.
This customer already owned one of our older tanks featuring the original up-and-over lid. Rather than replace the whole tank, we engineered a custom lid conversion kit. This solution allowed them to:
To complement the refurbished tank, we manufactured a brand-new second tank, creating a complete twin-tank setup ready for high-capacity workflow.
The first stage of the installation is now complete, with the final phase scheduled to be finished and fully signed off by the end of the month. We’re excited to see this system in action and deliver another high-performance, regulation-compliant installation for a valued customer.
