Crushed Glass is an angular blasting abrasive designed for effective coating removal, cleaning and surface preparation. Unlike spherical glass beads, the sharp, irregular particles provide a controlled cutting action that removes paint, rust and surface contamination while creating a profile suitable for subsequent coating. It offers a practical choice for general workshop, restoration, fabrication and maintenance applications on suitable substrates. Our 70–110 medium grade provides a useful balance between cleaning performance and control, making it suitable for a variety of blasting tasks. Supplied in 25 kg bags for use with suitable blasting equipment and correctly selected pressure and operating settings.
Crushed Glass Blasting Media – 70–110 Medium Grade
Crushed Glass is an angular blasting abrasive developed for effective coating removal, surface cleaning and preparation.
Unlike glass beads, which are spherical and produce a smoother peened finish, crushed glass consists of sharp, irregular particles. These particles provide an effective cutting action that removes paint, rust, scale and other surface contamination while creating a consistent profile for subsequent painting, powder coating or refinishing.
Its controlled abrasive action makes Crushed Glass a practical option for general workshop, fabrication, maintenance and restoration applications.
