Garnet Blasting Media

Garnet is a naturally occurring mineral abrasive suitable for blast cleaning, coating removal and general surface preparation.

Its hard, sub-angular particles deliver reliable cutting performance for removing paint, light rust, mill scale and other surface contamination from suitable substrates. Garnet is a versatile option for workshop, fabrication, maintenance and refinishing applications.

Two grades are available, allowing the cleaning speed and resulting surface profile to be matched to the work being undertaken.

Available Grades

• 30/60 Mesh Medium – A versatile general-purpose grade for coating removal, surface cleaning and preparation. Its larger particle size provides a more aggressive cutting action and stronger surface profile.
• 80 Mesh Fine – A finer grade suitable for lighter contamination and applications where a more controlled, finer surface profile is required.

Garnet blasting media is supplied in 25 kg bags.

Always ensure the chosen grade, nozzle, pressure and blasting settings are suitable for the substrate. Appropriate PPE, extraction and respiratory protection must be selected following the product safety information and the end user’s risk assessment.
