Nylon Mesh Filter Socks

Our Nylon Mesh Filter Socks are designed for use with the Ribble Filter Pump, helping remove paint flakes, sludge and other solid contamination from hot stripping solutions during tank cleaning and maintenance.

Manufactured from durable nylon mesh, the filters allow liquid to pass through while capturing unwanted solid material. They work alongside the Filter Pump’s 5 mm stainless steel basket to provide an effective filtration system for contaminated stripping solutions.

Available Micron Ratings

The filter socks are available in three different micron ratings, allowing you to select the most appropriate level of filtration:

• 800 micron – Coarse filtration for larger paint flakes, sludge and heavy debris
• 400 micron – General-purpose filtration for medium-sized particles and routine tank cleaning
• 100 micron – Fine filtration for capturing smaller particles and providing a more thorough final filtration

The lower the micron rating, the finer the level of filtration. Where a solution contains a large amount of contamination, we recommend beginning with the 800-micron filter before moving progressively through the 400-micron and 100-micron options. This helps remove larger material first and reduces the risk of prematurely loading the finer filter.

Important Operating Information

When filtering hot-strip chemicals, the solution must be allowed to cool below 50°C before the Filter Pump and filter socks are used.

Filters should be checked regularly during operation and cleaned or replaced when heavily loaded, blocked or damaged. Always follow the operating instructions supplied with the Ribble Filter Pump and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment for the chemical being handled.
