Ribtec 7671 is a single-pack liquid chemical additive developed for the treatment of recirculating water in water-back paint spray booths.
During spray booth operation, paint overspray can collect within the water system and retain its tackiness. This can lead to deposits forming within pumps, pipework and header pipes, potentially causing blockages and increasing the need for cleaning and maintenance.
Ribtec 7671 denatures the collected paint overspray and removes its tackiness, making the waste easier to manage while helping to keep the spray booth water circulation system operating effectively. It also eliminates unpleasant odours, helping to maintain a cleaner and more pleasant working environment.
Key Benefits
Recommended Concentration
Ribtec 7671 should typically be used at a concentration of 4–6 litres per 1,000 litres of spray booth water. The most appropriate concentration may vary depending on the type and volume of paint being sprayed, the booth design and the operating conditions.
Foam Control
Some paints or spray booth systems may produce excessive foaming. Where this occurs, the foam can be controlled through small additions of Ribtec FCA anti-foam.
For best results, the condition of the booth water should be monitored regularly and the treatment level adjusted where necessary.
